The Pinnacle is a 5-6-minute walk from the Vancouver Convention Center, where NeurIPS will be held.

Visa Information

Attendees who require a visa to attend the symposium in Canada should apply for a visa at least 12 weeks before entering the country. 

Find out if you need a visa or an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) to travel to Canada. 

We recommend applying for a visa as soon as possible due to long wait times. Check processing times for visitor visas on the Government of Canada website. 

To assist in the process, we are happy to provide a letter of invitation. If you require a letter, email info@ahli.cc as soon as possible, providing the following information: 

  • Complete legal name 
  • Date of birth
  • Your company and position
  • Your address and telephone number (both work and home) 
  • Indicate if you are an author, presenter, mentor, reviewer, or general attendee

Getting to the Venue

Walking time from Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront or nearby hotels to Vancouver Convention Center is around 5 mins which is highly suggested. However, several common transit approaches are serving in Vancouver.

By Skytrain

Canada Line, Expo Line are two main lines to waterfront station (Closest Station to Venue). 

By Seabus

The Seabus service is a 15 min single trip from Waterfront Station to North Vancouver Bus loop.

By Bus

Bus line 19, 214, 22, 246, 250 all have stops nearby the venue

Ticket Purchase

Compass card is highly suggested to be purchased while traveling in Vancouver, which saves money for each single trip with $6 deposit and time to always purchase tickets. Any ticket machines offer the choice to purchase either a card or single trial ticket. Both stored value and card itself can be refunded to the TransLink Customer Service Centre at Waterfront Station. Specific details can be found from this link.

From YVR Airport:

Note: It is highly recommended to take ‘Canada Line’ Skytrain from YVR Airport to Waterfront Station (around 5 minutes’ walk to Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront or Vancouver Convention Center)
