Dr. Joyce Ho is an associate professor in the Computer Science Department at Emory University. She has a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and an M.A. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT.

Joyce’s recent research involves identifying patient subgroups or phenotypes, integrating new streams of data, fusing different modalities of data, and dealing with conflicting expert annotation. She received best paper awards at the 2017 AMIA Joint Summits on Translational Science and the 2022 Machine Learning for Health Symposium. She is the recipient of the 2023 ICDM Young Female Scholar in Data Science Award and the NSF Career Award. Her research is funded by the National Science Foundation, National Institute of Health, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, and Johnson and Johnson.
